TOOL TIP
CARABINER ORIENTATION There is no absolute rule that dictates the 'best' way to set up your draws. No matter which you use the goal is the same - a smooth running rope that will stay clipped. Evaluate each clip for any nuances that might suggest a counter measure on your part. Biner/bolt hanger combos all have best ways to clip - experiment! In general, you want the gate facing away from the rock and your rope ascending up through the lower biner, without any "twisting" forces on the biner and draw.
